Our Commitment to You

Deciding to adopt Emerson forced the two of us to really think about how we wanted to parent. We understand every adoption is unique, so while we have some ideas, we recognize that you will have some ideas too. So before we get too caught up in what we think we should do, we want to hear from you.

That said, we do have a few fundamental beliefs about life, that influence us as parents:

* We believe in adventure – and that life should be full of them.

* We believe in education – both in-school and out-of-school.

* We believe in hard work – and that no matter what you do, you should always try your hardest.

* We believe in diversity – that the more you see, the more open and understanding you become as a person.

* We believe in a loving family – and that a child should always be surrounded with unconditional love and support.

* We believe in activity – whether sports or the symphony, being involved in something is important.

* We believe in Community – and that being part of it, and giving back to it is essential.

* We believe in fun – and that this life is short, so you should pack as much fun into a life as you can.

* We know we've created a loving and supportive home for Emerson. And are looking to expand our family again.

* We also know that you are facing an enormously important decision about whether or not to plan an adoption for your baby. If you do decide on adoption, we want to be the family you choose.

If, after reading about us, you would like to talk further or learn more about us, we would love to hear from you.
