Matt and Amy

Even though Matt and Amy attended the same high school, they did not meet until ten years later on a blind date! Quickly they enjoyed each other’s love for their faith and interest in history. Matt and Amy make a great team on game night, although in a game of Scrabble, Matt always triumphs (once again teaching Amy a lesson in good sportsmanship)! Matt and Amy love to go for a walk on a nice day – whether it’s on the beach, in a park, or into town. Getting outside is a definite must. In many ways, Matt and Amy are opposites (Matt prefers sci-fi, Amy- comedy; Amy loves a roller coaster, Matt prefers to stay “grounded”), but they find their differences play a balancing factor in their relationship. Both Matt and Amy agree their happiest days were their wedding day and every day they have been blessed to be parents. Since the first time they spoke about their dreams, both Matt and Amy described their vision of a big family. Matt and Amy are excited, eager and ready to bring another child into their hearts and home.

Matt

Matt has a smile that lights up a room! He's everyone's favorite IT guy (he's always fixing someone's computer!). When Matt and I worked together for a short time at a local high school, one of the secretaries said "Thank God for Matt" every time she saw him!
Matt is also an AMAZING cook. I will get text messages from my sisters asking when is Matt cooking and can I come over to eat? lol He enjoys cooking, but he also has really been enjoying woodworking lately. Matt is an extremely hard worker at home and his job. These qualities are awesome to have in a husband and a dad, and I (Amy) am extremely grateful for him. Matt loves to play with our son and make him laugh. When our son has trouble falling asleep, Matt is able to comfort him and soothe him. I love when Matt reads our son a story - he makes different voices for each character!
As a husband, Matt is a great partner. He makes me giggle. He happily goes to Mass with us every week; and whenever I plan a date, he tells me how great it is (even if it's 100 degrees, or the food isn't that tasty). Matt is an all around great guy . . . and I honestly never met a person who didn't like him. <3

Amy

Amy is kind, caring and compassionate. One of her greatest strengths is how well she can plan something fun to do. Since she gave up her career as a high school history teacher to stay home with our son, she has always provided him with playful and educational experiences. Whether it's taking our son to the library, a puppet show or the zoo, Xavier and her seem to always be doing something fun and exciting. As a wife, she always plans our date nights (or days) with something different. We always love a good movie night, but Amy also plans bike rides at Valley Forge, festivals at Longwood Gardens, romantic strolls at Peddler's Village and live comedy shows. As a team, Amy and I came up with the idea to have backyard movies in the summer months. This is one of our favorite things we do together - set up our outdoor theater right in our back yard!
Amy is also extremely hard working. In fact, I don't no anyone who works as hard as she does. Before we were parents, I had the opportunity to work in the high school she taught. Not only did I witness her planning her lessons at home til late at night, but I got the chance to "see her in action " in the classroom. I used to stand outside and listen to her teach. I loved hearing her and remember thinking, "Wow, she's a really good teacher". I honestly thought she would go back to teaching when Xavier turned one - but she found a new passion in life - being a mother. She's excellent at it, and I love her devotion to me and our family.

Our Home

We live in a great neighborhood with many young families. We are lucky to have many neighbors that we also call friends.
One of the greatest aspect of our home is it's location. We live a short drive from Philadelphia in one direction and a short drive to a number of farms in another. We live in a single family home on a quiet street. The school district we live in is excellent. The parish we live in is awesome (such a great community and a truly wonderful pastor!)
Because of the location of our home, we are able to enjoy building snowmen in the winter, picking apples and pumpkins in the fall and watching movies in our backyard whenever the weather is warm enough. We love taking day trips to the zoo, amusement parks, and into the city. We also love going to carnivals, nearby festivals and community events. We look forward to going on a beach vacation every year. We love to play together, read together and pray together. We are lucky to almost always have friends and family visiting our home, and at the end of each day, we are so grateful for the gift of each other.
