Please feel free to contact us at any time in any way that you find the most comfortable. We can only imagine the first step is hard to make and to tell you the truth, we are nervous too. But we are here to listen to you and support you and together we can make this a decision you are comfortable, peaceful and happy with.
Adoption is Love
Advertising our family and hoping to be selected by an expectant mom is a strange feeling. You try to find ways to stand out from other families and hope that someone picks you because your family “feels right†to them. We don’t know the emotions that a birth mom is feeling but we do admire their decision and will 100% honor their choice of open or closed. What we do know is the two biggest emotions during this process will be our happiness at being chosen being the inverse of the birth moms emotional pain in making the decision to place her child. We promise to do everything in our power to ease that pain and we hope by getting to know our family before and after the adoption they will find some peace and comfort in their decision.
Overnight Camp
Tuesday: The kids left for overnight camp yesterday. This is their second year attending this camp. Last year they only went for three nights as it was their first year and we were all a bit nervous. When we picked them up last year they begged to go for five nights this year. So off they went this year for five whole nights. It’s only day two and I miss them tremendously!
Friday: The kids come back tomorrow! The camp sends us pictures so we get to see all the fun they are having at camp which makes us happy. We’ve been keeping busy with work, seeing friends and watching “Stranger Things†But I can’t wait to wrap my arms around those little munchkins!
Shark Shower Curtain
We needed a new shower curtain so I let the kids pick it out. It took them a while to agree on one but I love the one they finally chose. We put it up yesterday and it makes me giggle every single time I go into the bathroom.
