Fall Fun

family diary post journal photo

This past weekend we enjoyed the nice Fall weather (seasonable warm for this time of the year) and took our niece and nephew to a local Fall Festival. Our adventure was filled with face painting, sweet treats, train ride, bounce house and much more. You can’t beat spending time with family and enjoying the Fall activities.

Weekend Fun / Parkers Birthday

It’s always fun to share laughs and catch up with friends who you don’t see often.
This past weekend we hosted two of our friends from New Jersey. We ventured to the east end of Long Island and took them to some of our favorite vineyards. We love it out east.

Today is Parkers birthday… He’s 3 years old. I guess we’ll have to spoil him with some extra love this evening. Haha… Perhaps he’ll get his favorite treat, a banana.

Family Visit

We couldn’t have been more excited for our niece and nephew to visit long island. Growing up in a small town in Upstate NY, we never explored more than an hour from out home and it was usually to go camping. My sister (Kim) has kept that tradition with her family, until now. Affording Kaylee and Codie the opportunity to explore something completely out of the norm for them was amazing. Seeing their faces while riding the Long Island Rail Road, transferring into the subway system and them walking from lower Manhattan to Central Park was priceless and something they will talk about for a long time. During their visit, we went to the beach giving them the opportunity to see and swim in the ocean for the first time. Although at times they were a bit overwhelmed, it has opened up their eye for new opportunities and endless experiences. We are looking forward to the next visit and hope by then they have a niece or nephew to enjoy.
